The 11th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation (ICECTT 2026) Successfully Concludes

On June 6, 2026, the 11th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation (ICECTT 2026) was successfully held and concluded in Guilin, China. The conference was hosted by Guilin University of Electronic Technology, organized by the School of Architecture and Transportation Engineering of Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Guangxi Key Laboratory of Intelligent Transportation, and the School of Transportation of Nanning University, with support from Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering.


Focusing on frontier topics such as electromechanical control technology, intelligent transportation, architecture and transportation engineering, intelligent connected vehicles, and traffic safety and management, ICECTT 2026 brought together experts, scholars, young faculty members, graduate students, and student representatives from universities, research institutes, enterprises, and public institutions. Around 120 participants gathered in Guilin to share research achievements and discuss interdisciplinary integration and high-quality development in related fields.



Opening Remarks: Bringing Together Academic Strength to Promote the Integration of Electromechanical Control and Transportation

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Wang Tao, Conference Chair and Dean of the School of Architecture and Transportation Engineering at Guilin University of Electronic Technology, and Vice Dean Pang Yanzhi from the School of Transportation of Nanning University delivered welcome speeches. They extended a warm welcome to all participating experts, scholars, and young representatives.


The speakers noted that since 2024, ICECTT has been continuously held in Guilin and hosted by Guilin University of Electronic Technology. Drawing on the university’s disciplinary strengths in architecture, transportation, information technology, and related interdisciplinary areas, the conference has continued to build an open and high-level international academic exchange platform. Through keynote speeches, invited reports, oral presentations, and young scholar sessions, ICECTT 2026 aimed to further promote the deep integration of scientific innovation, engineering practice, and talent cultivation.


Keynote Speeches: Focusing on Intelligent Transportation, Vehicle Interaction, Tunnel Risk, and Intelligent Connected Vehicles

Five experts were invited to deliver keynote speeches at this year’s conference. Prof. Jiang Rui from Beijing Jiaotong University gave a report titled "The Morning Commute Problem with Emerging Travel Modes". Prof. Ge Yingen from Chang’an University presented "Probabilistic Spatio-Temporal Field: Capturing Real-Time Vehicle-Pedestrian Interactions". Prof. Xu Jin from Guilin University of Electronic Technology delivered a report on "Vehicle Operation Risks and Traffic Control Optimization in Long and Large Mountain Highway Tunnels". Prof. Lu Jianwei from Hefei University of Technology presented "Research on Multi-Dimensional Coupled Time-Delay Dynamic Behaviors and Control Strategies of Intelligent Vehicles". Senior Engineer Yang Liangyi from China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. gave a report titled "Research and Application of Testing and Evaluation Technologies for Intelligent Connected Vehicles".


The five keynote speeches covered traffic flow and travel behavior, real-time vehicle-pedestrian interaction, operational risks in mountain highway tunnels, intelligent vehicle dynamics control, and testing and evaluation of intelligent connected vehicles. The reports connected fundamental theories, key technologies, engineering applications, and standards systems, responding to practical needs in intelligent transportation, traffic safety, intelligent vehicles, and infrastructure management while highlighting the digital, intelligent, and collaborative development trends of electromechanical control technology and transportation.

Invited Report: Expanding Perspectives on Radar Signal Processing and Multi-Target Tracking


The invited report session in the afternoon was also rich in content. Associate Professor Li Yuansheng from Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering delivered a report titled "Research on Multi-Extended Target Tracking Based on Non-Homogeneous Poisson Processes". The report explored radar signal processing, information fusion, target detection, and target tracking, offering participants multi-dimensional insights from theoretical models and key algorithms to application scenarios. It also further broadened the academic exchange boundaries of electromechanical control and intelligent perception research.

Oral Presentations and Awards: Diverse Topics Reflect the Vitality of Young Researchers

During the oral presentation session, presenters from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Zhejiang Digital Intelligence Transportation Institute Technology Co., Ltd., Anhui University, Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Shanghai Maritime University, and other institutions shared their latest studies. The topics covered cooperative control of heterogeneous vehicle groups, control platforms for national and provincial highway tunnels, road roughness and pavement distress identification, evaluation of conductive asphalt pavement materials, port-strait two-layer shipping networks, water level prediction, lane-changing behavior recognition, ship trajectory prediction, modeling of urban road network waterlogging recovery delay, and explainability analysis of flight delays.


These presentations integrated methods from transportation engineering, vehicle engineering, intelligent perception, data modeling, artificial intelligence, and complex network analysis, reflecting the inclusiveness and cutting-edge nature of ICECTT in the interdisciplinary field of electromechanical control technology and transportation. The on-site discussions were active, with experts exchanging views on research ideas, methodological applicability, and engineering implementation pathways, providing valuable inspiration for young scholars to further refine their research.


Looking Ahead: The Conference Concludes, Academic Exchange Continues

The successful convening of ICECTT 2026 provided a high-quality platform for experts and scholars in electromechanical control technology, intelligent transportation, architecture and transportation engineering, and related interdisciplinary fields. Participants noted that the conference closely addressed industry needs in intelligent transportation development, traffic safety assurance, intelligent connected vehicle testing and evaluation, and infrastructure operation and management. It broadened academic perspectives and promoted cross-disciplinary, cross-institutional, and cross-sector dialogue.
