Prof. Quan Yuan

Tsinghua University, China

Biography: Dr. Quan Yuan is a professor. His main research areas are traffic safety and accident analysis, intelligent vehicle and human-machine engineering. He has presided over/participated in more than 40 projects in National Key R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Laboratory of Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Transportation and Ministry of Education, and International Cooperation. He is a senior member of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineering (CSAE), the leader of the Vehicle Information Service and Safety Working Group of the China Intelligent Transportation Industry Alliance (CITIA), and a member of the Autonomous Driving Committee of the Chinese Society of Highway Engineers. He has published more than 100 papers, of which more than 50 are SCI/EI searches, 4 monographs as the chief editor, more than 10 international conference presentations, more than 10 applied/authorized invention patents, 2 software copyrights, and more than 10 industry and group standards.

Prof. Yanyong Guo

Southeast University, China

Biography: Yan Yong Guo is a professor and supervisor of doctoral students. He is the chairman of the technical committee of the World Transportation Congress, a member of the Committee of Young Scientists of China Transportation Association, a member of the Committee of Parallel Control and Management of the Chinese Society of Automation, an expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and an expert of the National Ten Thousand People's Plan for Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation. His main research interests include traffic conflict technology, multi-source accident data mining and modeling, computer video recognition technology, traffic big data mining, and automatic driving safety theory. He has presided over more than 10 important research projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program topics, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province. The research results have been applied in key highway projects in Xiongan New Area, Liaoning and other places, and won the special prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of China Highway Society (ranked 3). He has published more than 100 academic papers in well-known journals at home and abroad, including more than 50 SCI/SSCI journals, more than 50 EI searches, and his papers have been cited by domestic and foreign scholars for more than 2,000 times (H-index of 24), and he has been awarded 34 national invention patents and 6 software copyrights.

Prof. Hui Jing

Guilin University of Electronic Technology, China

Biography: Jing Hui, male, Doctor of Engineering, researcher, doctoral supervisor. His research interests include new energy vehicles, vehicle dynamics and control, unmanned vehicle and robust control. He has presided over 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of Guangxi Natural Science Foundation, 1 project of Guangxi Science and Technology Base and Talent Special Project, 1 project of Guangxi Education Department, 2 projects of Guangxi Key Laboratory of Manufacturing System and Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 1 project of Guangxi Key Laboratory of Unmanned Aircraft Telemetry in Colleges and Universities Open Fund, and participated in 7 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 2 projects of Guangxi Science and Technology Development Project. He has published more than 40 SCI/EI papers, over 1000 citations in Google Scholar, 1 ESI highly cited paper, and 8 invention patents. He has served as an expert in the evaluation of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, an expert in the evaluation of the dissertations of postgraduates of the Ministry of Education, an expert in the evaluation of the international journals such as IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, as well as the Dynamic Systems and Control Conference (DSCC), and the International Symposium for the Advancement of Science and Technology. He is a reviewer for IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, and Dynamic Systems and Control Conference (DSCC), American Control Conference (ACC), and other international conferences.

Prof. Hui Liu

Central South University, China

Biography: Hui Liu is a second-class professor, doctoral supervisor, and a double doctor of Chinese and German at Central South University (CSU). He is currently the vice dean of the School of Transportation Engineering and a member of the Academic Committee of the university. He has been selected as one of the Young Top Talents of National Ten Thousand People Program, Stanford University's Global Top 2% Scientists List (top 0.065%, top 200 globally), Elsevier Highly Cited Scholar in China, and Royal Academy of Engineering's Outstanding International Engineer Award. He completed his undergraduate (Mechatronics), master (Measurement and Control), and doctoral (Carrier) studies at Central South University (CSU), and received his Ph.D. degree in Carrier Utilization Engineering from CSU in 2011 (nominated for the National Top 100 Best Scholarships), and his Ph.D. degree in Automation Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Rostock (Germany) in 2013 (awarded the Most Meritorious Graduate). 2015-2017 he served as a member of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany. Title Young Scientist Team Leader (funding 4.3 million euros). 2015-2016 served as W1 Professor, PhD Supervisor, and Director of Robotics Institute, CELISCA Key Laboratory, Germany. 2016 passed the German-speaking National Professorship Examination, and was awarded the German Professor's Diploma Habil. In November 2016, he was promoted to W2 Professor in Germany and returned to his home country on a full-time basis.

Prof. Chunjun Chen

Southwest Jiaotong University

Biography: Chunjun Chen, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, Doctor of Philosophy, Director of Electromechanical Measurement and Control Experiment Center, Deputy Director of Department of Electromechanical Measurement and Control, received his Bachelor's Degree of "Automation and Instrumentation of Production Processes" in 1990, and Master's Degree of "Theory and Application of Automatic Control" in 1993, and was assigned to work in Mechanical College of Southwest Jiaotong University in the same year. He received his bachelor's degree in "Production Process Automation and Instrumentation" in 1990 and master's degree in "Automatic Control Theory and Application" in 1993, and was assigned to work in the Mechanical College of Southwest Jiaotong University in the same year. He was a visiting scholar at the Faculty of Engineering, Hiroshima University, Japan from 1995 to 1996. He was a visiting professor at the Key Laboratory of Railway and Signal of Beijing Jiaotong University from 2001 to 2001, and received his PhD degree in the field of "Transportation Tools and Applications" in 2006. He has been engaged in teaching and research in the fields of automatic control theory and engineering applications, modern signal processing and advanced control theory, electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic integration measurement and control technology and system design, high-speed train detection and control, structural vibration and control, etc. He has chaired the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) project. He has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science and Technology Support Program, provincial and ministerial projects, and major projects of China South Locomotive Group. He has published 5 books, more than 10 national invention patents and utility patents, and more than 80 foreign academic papers.

Prof. Xiaogang Liu

Wuhan University of Technology, China

Biography: Prof. Xiaogang Liu acquired his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia, and he is now a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Mechanical engineering and Instrument Science and Technology at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology. He has chaired two scientific research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and his academic outputs include academic papers, invention patents and software copyrights in the fields of Intelligent Manufacturing, Contact Mechanics, Mechanical Vibration and Electromechanical Control. As the leader of a provincial teaching and research project about mechanical manufacturing, he summarised these academic outputs into monographs to integrate research and education, and was recognised as Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Currently, he is a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, an expert of the high-tech industry in Wuhan, and was awarded the “T A Stewart-Dyer Prize/Frederick Harvey Trevithick Prize” by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in London.
